Lord, you are my peace in the worst of times,
I trust you when I'm surrounded by fear and lies,
Thank you for giving me the knowledge to see,
And how to separate my heart from those atrocities,
Your words are simple, and seep into my soul,
They speak love and compassion in a world that's cold,
I hold onto you, time is in your hands,
It's all about your plans, I just do what I can,
The bigger picture belongs to you,
I don't always have to understand what I'm going through,
But through it, my eyes are focused on your love,
In awe I'll sit in silence, knowing you have it all,
Your protecting my spirit every step of the way,
Holding your hand through the storm and rain,
If I step out of character, you bring me back,
You look into my eyes, there's no need for that,
