Love Poem: Temporary Love

Temporary Love

Adolesence at its most obvious.
Soft whispers spoken under sweet smelling tree tops.
A moment is shared, but a life time passes.
Look back upon the cold quiet walks.
Dream small as not to be dissapointed.
Hope not, love fades as do ashes blow.
Birds chirp in shadowed trees.
Dreams are cast into the darkness.
The same shadowed trees touch young lovers as they glide along paved earth.
The moon shines; it's light is eternal.
Love fades when day breaks.
Painted skies above urban streets touch icy roof tops littered with yellow frisbees and
Little green army men.
The kind you thought you could buy at any store, but it was a lie.
Sweaty palms and nervous glances are common place among the streets that caress broken
hearts.
Harsh words screamed at sobbing shadows will tear holes in her soul.
Wounds heal, but always scar.
Time passes.
Love is shared.
Things will never be the same...
