Tell Him So
You take him back
as night turns black;
when there's no light,
no wrong, no right.
He breaks your heart
then the tears start;
like drops of pain
they fall like rain.
The stars still shine
but nothing's fine,
love lost its spark
when hope went dark.
Yet, he'll still try
to sell the lie
he's not deadwood,
and it's all good.
But a false smile
betrays his style.
You should be mad,
why are you sad?
You're not to blame;
don't play his game.
Take back his key,
and let him see
if he's untrue
he's not for you.
Have a good cry;
sometimes dreams die.
If love feels wrong,
you must be strong
and tell him so;
then let him go.
