Love Poem: Tapestry of Nature

Tapestry of Nature

I love nature at dawn in the forest green, or in Autumn colors that reflect in the blue water; and the birds sing sweet rhapsodies unseen, I recall father, and all his teachings to this daughter; and how glistening fallen leaves dripped, dripped with rainwater. And your favorite father, the wild horses running and leaping, down Autumn forest paths and faded meadows to a rippling stream; but now, though I adore them- the wild horses leave me weeping, oh, all you shared father inspires my poetic dream; especially in Autumn hues of orange, yellow and gold in a sun beam. ___________________________ September 26, 2019 Poetry/English Quintain/Tapestry of Nature Copyright Protected, ID 09-1168-879-26 All Rights Reserved, 2020, Constance La France Submitted to the Standard contest, Autumn sponsor, Francine Roberts, Judged 12/02/20
