Superfluous

Holding hands, we embrace each other, as our hearts and souls somehow entwine. For when two lonely hearts fall in love; moments are savored, like a fine wine. The heart's eye sees only perfection; love is an intoxicating drink. And sipping the elixir of hope, lovers do not care what others think. Laughter and giggles enhance the mood, ascribing white lies to vanities. And heaven comes within mortal reach, when lovers indulge in fantasies. We were two half-souls searching for love, when destiny brought us together. And as all doubt was replaced by trust, two soulmates were conjoined forever. There is no me, and there is no you when hearts combine; there is only us. And as long as we have each other, everything else is superfluous.
