Sunset

The ink’s beginning to fade
On the lonely promise you made
My heart’s holding up the mind that’s beginning to cave
I’m so afraid

Give me the strength
To stretch the length
It’ll be too late
For you to heal the ache

Your lies are as truthful as the tears in your eyes
I’ve buried what was left of what was meant to be
And now it’s too late to apologize

Divided by the second half
Only one pointing finger to stare at
I’ve died for what was mine
The rest is yours to find

You made me whole
You gave me hope
You stole my soul
And all of my control

I don’t care to make sense
It’s been so long since
I cared to care for this

You’re the gun to my head
The knife in my heart
The blood from my vein
The seed to my pain

Despite what I show
It’s so much more than you’ll ever know
I’m nothing what you believe
I’m nothing what you chose to leave

Nothing but a door
Nothing anymore
Numb yet sore
Nothing but a

I need to say
There will come a day
