Summer Smiles
He saw the autumn in her eyes
As her love slowly fell away
He held on to those summer sighs
In the glow of love's dying rays
He held the winter in his heart
And his broken heart grew cold
Will spring give love a new start
When the daffodils bloom in gold?
And as the flowers bloomed again
He found a Rose to call his own
And in her eyes he saw the rain
Falling gently where love was blown
He saw the summer in her smile
And basked in the glow, for a while
