Love Poem: Summer Breeze

Summer Breeze

See the pictures lined up on the table
At the family home inside the door
See the meal laid out across the table
After church for dinner and more

Summer breeze brings you to mind
Stirs memories I have left behind
Summer breeze brings you to mind
Stirs memories I have left behind

Hear the soft voices as food is served
Sounds forgotten are good to hear
Seems like it all was only yesterday
Your lilting laugh music to my ears

Summer breeze brings you to mind
Stirs memories I have left behind
Summer breeze brings you to mind
Stirs memories I have left behind

Long summer moments lasted for days
Looking at you is like it was back then
Warm gentle kisses in slow dance sways
My heart wildly begins to spin

I hear laughter echoing through our home
When I return after being on the road
Our children run to greet me at the door
Each one I have longed to hold

Summer breeze brings you to mind
Stirs memories I have left behind
Summer breeze brings you to mind
Stirs memories I have left behind
