Stranger In My Bed

Even "perfect" relationships take a lot of commitment, patience, kindness, love, empathy, communication and trust. We need to hold a space for each other to move, breathe, reconnect and grow.

Look at your loved ones - they are special to you for a reason. Give them a smile, a positive message and a hug. You never know how important those little moments are until they are gone.

Stay safe and take care. Blessings for a wonderful day and an amazing week.

Stranger in my bed

There's a stranger in my bed;
A man I used to know.
He was good and kind and strong;
Loving, for we belonged.

Now he keeps to himself,
No words or gestures to show;
Feelings and thoughts hidden,
Never shared or known.

There's a stranger in my bed;
A woman I used to know.
She was good and kind and strong;
Loving, for we belonged.

Now she hovers around uncertain,
Never leaving me alone;
Sometimes I need my space,
To work things out in quiet moments.

There's a stranger in my bed,
Will we ever reconnect?
Or will we remain ships passing,
And forever live with regret?

For a relationship commitment
Is only the first step;
We have to communicate
To keep each other read.

And only by doing a delicate
Dance of give and take,
Can we be there for each other,
Like true helpful mates.

There's a stranger in my bed,
But we're learning more each day;
I kind of like them, and hope that
Forever here they'll stay.
