Still Loving

Blue summer haze, soft light. The smile on your face,
those blue eyes.

The freedom we owned in the times of the past. Did we ever think that those freedoms wouldn’t last?

The old house we drove by. The memories in the air! It was like we still felt what it was like to live there.

The walk to the shop, the walk to the city. The old streets had changed but the routes stayed the same.

The nights we did have of young love. The window cill cats we still love. The old single panes that let the cold in.

The new house we bought - so modern.
The mobility of class we did win. A detached home for us to live in. We both love our home and love living.

Together we are still standing. We built a garden of dreams that’s flowering. I see your face in the evening light still smiling. I feel the blue in your eyes still loving.
