Starting the Orchastra, the Agreement

she waited before she sat
I listened to every word she said
I stopped to look over
what she wrote
I had memorized most
of the words in my head
without considering
and even without consideration
it was obvious to understand
even through these negations
lacking considered understanding
I sighted her lack of concern
I stood on the virtue of reasoning
not to have this a lesson learned
which had started silently
each word defined
we read over the contract
not caring or being kind
her face showed no emotion
I hope neither did mine
her offerings were to expensive
and offered too little time
payment and repayment
with no room to negotiate
it lacked consideration
especially if I were to come up late
she reorganized the wording
to create a yearly expense
instead of a twelve month period
she would extend the expense
she allowed 10 months to be perfect
and two months to chore
lateness would have exception
and the time she would explore
I extended my hand
and we'd shake in agreement
time worth taking
a contract of agreement
