Watching the moon and stars tonight
As they shine ever so bright
My thoughts however are always elsewhere
Most times they're to much for me to even bare
I find myself wishing upon a star
The distance between us may be far
but I wonder if where ever you are
That somehow you
Are wishing on that same star and the same wish to
Yes in love I did fall
Here's to believing in it all
And that it all will come true
But I have no apparent clue
Of just how to reach you
I don't understand just why
God wants me to do nothing more day after day but cry
Or how come I carry around all this pain
I'm in love with you
You can trust me when I say what I feel for you is not in vain
Yet everyday of mine is the same
These memories play a game
They cause my mind to call your name
Tearing out my soul they have no shame
This is done until tears fall down like rain
No one here is to blame
Moments take their place
Time moves on with no semblance of grace
Give to me your leather, take from me my lace
For better or worse life does go on
We now once again start over
Come take my hand close your eyes and take that leap of faith with me
You know as I do this was meant to be
And once and for all let our broken hearts finally mend
Because this agony for each of us will never end
And let us find the love for each other we once had again
