Starlight Teardrops

I slipped on a teardrop and landed in a hole A most secret hiding place within my mind This darkest abyss in the depths of my soul Only your touch, these chains could unbind I slipped on a teardrop and landed on the moon Its ivory beams bathe the path in frosty light That guides you through the forest to return soon And wrap me in your warmth in the chill of night I slipped on a teardrop and landed in the clouds Where I can watch and smile when you fly by You glide on strong wings, nimble and proud My soaring goddess, blessing from on high I slipped on a teardrop and landed on the Sun Its blinding rays tore through my every conceit My angel took my hand and away we did run Together, our souls bathed in gold light and heat I slipped on a teardrop and landed in the Milky Way Hand in hand with my love, in rapturous flight Flying with you forever through heaven I would stay Eternally bathed in divine love’s radiant light 6/19/16 © by Author Contest: I SLIPPED ON A TEARDROP AND LANDED . . .
