Stardust Symphony

The crimson sun goes down the cold horizon slowly
Through the drizzle of the ebon night twilight glows
The shining stars spout one by one in the milky way
Cosmic dance of constellation begins in the sky silky.

From cascading moonbeam you descend like a fairy
On the recluse shore of the blue lagoon of my heart
Unbound yearning rides pearl-laced fervent waves
Adorn your dulcet ballerina feet of gossamer ivory.

Fused together we walk to the hazy edge of eternity
On the garden path through the dust of falling dusk
Reach the retreating silver splashed skyline yonder
Where the full moon rises with the gleam of ecstasy.

In our garden of longing flushed by fervent rhapsody
Till the time the moonlight fades from flower and rose
We’ll lie on dream listening to the stardust symphony.

(The chosen line " the moonlight fades from flower and rose" used in the
poem is in italics)
