Stardust Love

Light flickers, just beyond the mountains Heaven’s winking – like stars glistening then Whispering out so that all that’s left in the sky Is the melancholy, gray – silence that prays For the moment when hope awakes the night With brilliant reflections of moon and stars, Lighting the heart and soul – lighting the way For promises, dreams, feelings… Hearts whisper, just like the gentle flames Against a backdrop, glowing, dancing – graceful Like the soul who knows that love lingers In the faded touch, the music’s trembling blaze, Like mysteries aching to be discovered, secrets Found out, exposed so that everyone can see The reason that a tear falls silently, the reason That a smile brings light, the meaning beneath All the happiness, affections and doubts … Lingering on the lips, trembling – aching Caressing the darkness with a breath of faith, Memories explode inside my mind, bringing doubt To possible, even probable – doubtless like the dream Who ever pleads, believes, colors the heart who breaks With scarlet passion, forever after, feelings so lasting They seem like the promise of love so alive, Like a sacrifice – love that abides on the inside Forever honest, a promise that will never let go of the Stars glistening across the heart … Feelings stirring, bold and vibrant, quiet Approaches to ever and ever – the eternally Promising to love without expectations or conditions Promising to love like the stars who glow without a reason
