Stand Up Class

When it is all over
Or when it has just begun
It doesn’t matter
What all you have done,
Even the generosity
The gifts you have given
In their eyes they’ll ask
“You need a ribbon?”
They will seem like your friends
Look you straight in the eye
And out of respect
Tell you a complete lie
Don’t get upset
It happens to everyone
You may even be a victim
That of your son
But always remember
As you breathe in and out
Worse it could get
Absolutely no doubt
Always there will be
Men, who abuse
All your trust
After that it is you they accuse
Yet some may be
Ones who’s friendship not bought
Trust you may
For against you they not plot
Just keep a watchful eye
For there are snakes in the grass
But there always are the ones
In that stand up class
