Love Poem: Spoon and Bowl

Spoon and Bowl

three words
eight letters
whisper them into my ear
and I’m all yours, love
never thought I would ever be
ready for love
ready for love
and then
somehow
sometime
I was ready for love
and you were ready for me
fallin hard and fast
and you caught me in your
loving arms
miles and miles away in distance
yet you are right by my side
the truth is
she just wanna have his initials on her neck
not to be of his possession
to show
that my heart belongs to him
and mine his
it’s just so delicious to
be a few pinches of bad
mixed with a whole lot of
slow, slow sweetener
just makes it much richer and
deeper
the interior sky would be gorgeous
in the midnight hours together
listening to the sweet lullaby of
two beating hearts
the tiny singular stars
casting a constellation upon us
in our oasis
our little heaven on earth
the view would be marvelous
I could feel it on my skin
delicate like the
warm sunrise on a winter day
driving away the cold
in preparation of welcoming in
the spring of life, of
new beginnings, a
new chapter,
just as the sunset is as breathtaking
as the sunrise
heart to hearts
the end of each day
is just the beginning of another one
neverending, everlasting
like the daydreams
metamorphosing into
pillow dreams
waking up the next day
cursing why it wasn’t my reality
why it wasn’t mine to partake
my one
to infinity
my one
this love is too sweet to be true
and now I know
this is the most fitting for me
only what I deserve
I’m not only licking the spoon
I’m licking the bowl clean
