Spiders Kissing

You look at me.
I look at you.
No physical touch.
No outward clue..
An energy
we cannot see,
lying dormant,
waits to break free.
Does either of us
understand?..
Why here we
oh so often land?
While hidden deep
in you and me,
our hearts,
they sing a memory..

But as we fall inside
each other's eyes;
the breaths we take
in that pause in time..
And the flutter in the beat
of the internal drum,
and the tingle in the veins
as the mind goes numb..
And the way that all around
goes still,
when we allow
our combined free will
to exercise.
Let go our minds.
Dissolve all
the boundary lines.
Let flow emotions
and fears take flight.
Our hearts gape open,
let pour the light.

Throw away all caution
to winds of love in motion.
But held in time's illusion
this is a dangerous notion..

Restrained devotion
to being free.
I once saw two spiders kissing,
and I thought of you and me..
