Spending Time Alone With My Lord
Spending Time With My Lord…
Last night, shortly after I arrived home…
I and my lord
spent some time alone.
It had been a long time that I’d spent with him…
I needed to talk with my Lord once again.
I had some decisions in life to make…
“What am I doing, for heaven’s sake?
I knew that I needed more of him in my life…
To strengthen both me and my wife!
As I spent some “time alone” in prayer…
I knew that he was listening.. He was there!
I realized how much more of him I needed.
“Forgive me my lord!”
Were what I pleaded.
I felt my burdens being lifted all around!
His presence in my life…
I once again had found!
He spoke these words to me that very day…
“Give me your heart and trust and obey!”
I arose up that moment… My sins were taken!
I knew he was with me. I wasn’t forsaken!
I now make time to spend with him, so near…
He’s never left me! He is always here!
I’m thankful for the time together we spend….
He’s my lord and savior
and forever my friend!
