Sounds of Safety
If the sound of a bomb falling
on someone else's home
is the first way you can hear your own safety,
your community defense,
then you have buried older
more pervasive
sounds of love and laughter
of which humanity was made
from regenerative seeds,
not degenerate needs
to blast back.
