Sorrow Borrowed From Teardrops

There’s sorrow borrowed from teardrops of rain,
I am lost and can’t contain this weeping pain-
When memories flood like the coastal shore,
I know there is only one thing that can remain,
it’s the fact it’s always been you that I adore.
                   My eyes fill with rain-
                   my lover left in vain.

When loving became a distant affection,
is when I realized we lost our connection-
I have but one thing to say to you before you go,
I’m sorry for all my pitiful imperfections.
I gave up when love became covered in woe.
         My eyes fill with rain-
         leaving a crimson stain.

Can’t you see my heart can no longer advance
without the memory of our passionate romance?
I try to move on, but this hand has not yours to embrace,
please I beg of you, give me one more chance,
as teardrops of rain stream down my miserable face.
                      My eyes fill with rain-
                      filled with anger and disdain.

Crystalline tears shed as I remember our vow,
we have to find our way back someway, somehow-
There is no room for joy when your stuck in obscurity,
this dissolving separation I just cannot allow.
I’m filled with blame and shame, shielded by insecurity.
       My eyes fill with rain-
           my lover left in vain.
