Breathing hope
Into my heart and soul
He always knows
Just what I’m in need of
He always assures
That His grace is ever present
A constant source of strength
A power freeing me from sin
A kindness so much a part of Him
Breathing faith
Into my spirit’s core
He frees me from the darkness
Faded into shadows of disease
He silences the screams
Of loneliness and grief, promising
Relief from all the dread
The feelings that leave me
Angry, isolated and depressed
Breathing love
Into the center of my soul
He declares to me that His love
Will awaken the praise I know
Calls out to my heart to honor
The One who gave up His life
So that I could live without strife
So that I could know real light
When I ignore
This joy that He pours
Into my spirit
With His gentle peace
I feel like I have betrayed
The One who makes my life
A place of hope, faith and love
A place where He is the One
To shine like the soul’s Son!
