Sonnet 69 'In Adoration, I Look Up At Thee'

In Adoration, I look up at Thee
And find myself enmirrored in your heart
There is no Other Love that I can see
So clearly – of your Truth I am a part!
Serenely, from the apex of the world,
You, Beatrice-like, do incline your head,
With Holy Spirit wind fill sails unfurled
And lift my shattered body from my bed.
You ride beside me, we bestride the wind,
And search for souls to rescue from themselves
We care not whether they have grievely sinned,
Nor how deep into darkness they have delved
We’ll unto them extend a Mercy Rope
And draw them nigh unto their first, best hope.
