Sonnet 23

Last night I walked into a cloud of dream
The distant kind where the waters run deep
And you beside me, did your presence gleam...
Beyond the moon abroad my mystic sleep
The clouds, gone with the wind, left skies alone
For us to sing and dance upon the blue
Underneath air above our robes have flown
Only out done by humming birds anew
Mornings magic returned myself to me
And cotton clouds consumed the colored sky
I thank thy dream, as now I think of thee
On light landscapes of love I learn to fly
We share our lips over the crescent moon
Relived by kisses through the afternoon
