Songs of Children

Shallow waves, crashing down.
Shallow graves, bury crowns.
No words for you, no words at all.
What can be true, when your God falls?
Yet nothing more, is worth to us.
This chaotic war, is not our fuss.
We are broken, we are torn.
Words been spoken, defies new scorn.
Take every life, take your faith away.
A bloody knife, held in your dismay.
The government is gone, chaos reigns hold.
I'm ready to move on, our hearts grow cold.
So many nights, I remember the pain.
So many fights, driving the world insane.
Our beautiful romance, has no place.
In our final nights dance, we hide our face.
Finally, I have my chance, heavenly lace.
Oh my love, this last night is not ours.
Look above, past the heaven made scars.
Songs below, sing to deaf ears.
Do you know, the cause of fears?
Oh I believe, I hear songs of heaven.
Was I naive, hearing songs of children?
Broken hearts, fill broken tombs.
Sadness starts, in broken wombs.
Take my hand, and help our world stand.
