Sometimes God Is Saying Wait

Sometimes I’ve asked for some lofty thing,
but it wasn’t the time God chose to be.
By answering wait, I avoided an unseen sting,
and God was displaying his love for me.
How do we respond when His answer is wait,
do we become consumed with constant musing?
God’s response to prayer isn’t subject to debate,
nor is wait synonymous with His refusing.
