Something Real

You run a gauntlet of hurtful feelings, fleeing callous and shallow relations. Yet, you'll willingly suffer heartaches; for love offers unrivaled temptations. Life's disappointments do not dissuade you; for though they can be crushing, tears don't stay. And time ultimately brightens your mood, soliciting smiles as they fade away. Hope is endless and all-encompassing, eternal as your faith in God above. And romantic dreams skirt reality; exposing disillusioned hearts to love. Trust is an amalgamation of truths, dually shared without hesitation. And though you may feel you're being driven, you aren't leery of the destination. Lonely hearts tend to find one another while discovering how it feels to feel. And on the fringes of euphoria, they trade fantasies for something real.
