Love Poem: Something Else

Something Else

Something more
and one thing else
no use to seek a verb
or contain there is what else
but love a verbal confinement
to distill a melody
of how all in emotions flourish
to bring such whispered promises
of what will be
stand there and smile
stand there and cry
the waterfall of heaven
rushing through the eyes
cool tingles every droplet
deep into the soul
and heady of eternity
a kisses only goal

Such as it was
with balloons occupied with clouds
dancing feet to skip amongst them
and declare by storm
thunders exhilaration
this ever anchored intention
of the heart
and swore by vowel
by blessed font
by blood
shall issue no detraction
mine, yours, we
and ever this want
swear by curse to separation

But even so
such a puddle
a vanity of words
a drug to appease
it’s own desperation for love
in a pitiful climate of tears
lays itself bare
and seen through brittle bows
the mere ribbons
to decorate the cloying destitution
of love

Sold for something else
for something more
something which by price tag
made it something to adore
sentiment and security
senseless to abandonment
the ticket tricks of decision
walks away from love
and time
time
time to heal
the feeling of something else
