Someone Somewhere Is Waiting For Me

Since childhood there were dreams in my eyes,
Of shining stars and of skies,
But along with time as I grew,
My childhood dreams were boundless too.

I left behind the chocolates and dolls,
I greatly awaited only a love call,
The call which would act like a love potion,
‘Coz it’s the disease which has no lotion.

My dreams moved up the hills,
Along with glamour, along with thrills,
Where people come just to hike,
But I knew that here, the cupid’s arrow would strike.

Up above the hill so high,
Where flowers bloom and birds doth fly,
I saw someone standing handsome and tall,
Was he the one to give me the love call?

He held out his hands for me to hold,
I felt a little nervous, a bit too bold,
He engulfed me within his arms,
And I knew he was the one who had fascinated me with his charms.

He came close to me and said,
All that’s mine is yours from today,
EXCEPT MY LOVE,
‘coz that’s something I have already given away.
