Someone, Somewhere
Someone, somewhere, swung for me,
Out of sight, a secret kept;
And I, in turn, awaited she,
My feelings gloved, sedated, slept.
Someone, somewhere, rose anew,
Stirred the ashes, struck the chord;
And I, with stagger, stumbled too,
Flipped and corkscrewed overboard.
Someone, somewhere, grazed the fuse,
Brushed and blew the dormant hearth;
And I, restored, adored such news
That spread a wildfire aftermath.
Someone, somewhere, took my hand,
Declared and proffered love unbound;
And I, her captive, understand
The someone, somewhere, I have found.
