Some Sorrows Just Don'T Drown

I just hate to say
How much I feel like a bad cliché.
That faithful girl that would love me forever
Went and left me for another.

Sometimes I’m so mad,
Then I’m feeling everything but glad.
Though she double-crossed me sweetly like a traitor,
Just can’t bring myself to hate her.

Have too much time to think
And not enough to drink.
Some sorrows just don’t drown.
Some sorrows just don’t drown.
Some sorrows just don’t drown.

They just won’t drown

Thinking one love’s true
Might get the best of you.
So now I smell like beer and last week’s sweat,
Caught in a whirlpool of regret.

Have too much time to think
And not enough to drink.
Some sorrows just don’t drown.
Some sorrows just don’t drown.
Some sorrows just don’t drown.

They just won’t drown

I’m glad it’s Friday.
I’ll probably drink-off Saturday.
If I’m not blind or dead, I’ll see the Pastor
To get me through this disaster.

Have too much time to think
And not enough to drink.
Some sorrows just don’t drown.
Some sorrows just don’t drown.
Some sorrows just don’t drown.

They just won’t drown.

They just won’t drown.
