Some Body

was it yesterday we laughed about the future, cried about growing up and found our first
love in the girl/boy next door,
todays weight on our shoulders as adults is the burden mom carried to bed,
wanting to run from it all as dad did, we can't justified it in our head,
so we wake with what is on our plate and what lyes out side our door,
making ends meet as prices rise and our pay flat lines, middle class falls,
society judges us by what we own,
can you see how much we grown.
a material world is what our kids see, cars, phones, i-pods, my space and super malls,
like mom, behind close doors we hid our tears, postpone our bills and preach of some day,
they can't see our hard times,
they can't fill how hard the world is to climb,
let them play, laugh and sing while they still can, tomorrow will come soon enough and
they will hear what we say,
work hard, take time for your self , learn to pick your self up when you fall and you can
be what ever you want to be,
you can be happy but you'll be poor, you can have love but you'll be alone,
you can be rich but you'll be hated, you can have but what have you blown,
no body has it all for every plus you have a negative, the world stop seeing the big
picture, the things that truly count, the things I see,
enter peace, true love, and the greatest treasure of all,
without wealth I am rich and at my best,
without a light shining on me I know I'm blessed,
I'm a good father, a loving husband, a man with his dignity and with out regret or remorse
I'm some one some body who's proud and stands tall
