So Sweet the Gift
Son racing down the street
in his hand a red oak leaf
awesome was his amazement at that
which he saw God had made
I marvel greatly at the soul
God had gifted my wife and me
to be able to see God in a simple
red leaf from a common tree
We both finding God's gifts to be so very sweet
and magic in so simple a belief!

Written because my son raced into our yard today from school just at end of our street.
In his hand he had single red leaf. Dad, look what I found! Look what God made!
Knock me over with a feather, that boy got my spirit residing in his heart and soul
and enjoys having the beauty of his mother for all to see. Thank God...
