So many days you and I did sit here
Under this canopy of mango trees
In the fresh flowers two humming bees
Our unspoken words in the cool air
Through ages we have been sitting
In Barcelona as well as Kolkata
In the snowy slopes of Simla
Lost in the warmth of knitting
Further away in Athens and Sicily
In the darkness of cave and ancient skies
Staring silently into each other's eyes
And playing with the waters of blue history
Your larks would show their stories
Concealed inside their wings
Through ages have hunted the kings
Still how charming their glories
Deaths there have been many
Drought and flood galore
We shared our dimples much more
Time cannot harm our cherry
Can time kill a Juliet
With its chains of life and death
Can the inexorable blow
Eradicate a Romeo
It is better so get close
Fill our lungs in the fragrance
Of each other's impatience
What's in store who knows
Look there the sky mingles into more sky
While making love with the seagulls
Smilingly glancing at you and I
Let us get lost like Beatles
