So Close To Jesus
Have you ever been so close to Jesus
That you could lay your head on His breast
Or look full into His face
And see Him as He is?
Have you ever bee so close to Jesus
That you could touch the hem of His clothes
Or sit at His beautiful feet
And listen to His words?
Have you ever been so close to Jesus
That He could come and dine with you
Or stop to wash your feet
And minister at your table?
Have you ever been so close to Jesus
That He could heal you with His touch
Or take you by the hand
And show to you His covenant?
Have you ever been so close to Jesus
That you could kneel and watch before Him
Or love and obey His words
And be called one of His friends?
Have you ever been so close to Jesus
That He could breath upon your face
Or whisper loves in your ear
And entrust you with His secret?
Have you ever been so close to Jesus
That you could know the true God and Christ
Or come and learn of Him
And have eternal life?
Have you ever been so close to Jesus
That He could know and relate with you
Or stick closer to you than a brother
And carry you to Heaven?
Ever be so close to Jesus.
