Slumber
Before the muted dawn appears
To wake a dreamy thought
A fire burns within the heart
Of slumber time forgot
Where rolling hills of velvet gold
Through misty dreams appear
Where peace surrounds a weary soul
Without a hint of fear
In cradled rest beneath soft silk
Life's worries disappear
I float in dream and roll beyond
To forge a new frontier
