Slow Burn

               Who ARE you?
   He approaches
     the stage
          auspiciously…
               She gazes with awe.
     Side-stepping
          in time.
     Flawless are
          his moves.
     Their eyes meet.
Time stands still--
     Unbroken silence.
Earth snaps back in motion…
               Her
                    eternal Slow Burn.
