Sleepless Night Contest
My mind wont sleep.
Keeps ticking over the words
that we shared on the phone,
such a silly row , absurd.
You heard me call a name
in my sleep the night before.
Accusations flying fast
even though you knew the score
Why I called his name out loud,
maybe was the pain within.
Calling the name of one dead love
Shouldnt really be a sin
Thought I was back on lifes road
Memories are stored for evermore
Would take the words back if i could
Still i knew you knew the score
Your who I am trying to love dear
Your who I want to walk lifes way
Your who i need to hold me near
Your who I want each and every day
Now I close my eyes and sleep
I have told you whats on my mind
Time to relax, my thoughts to keep
buried to make room for the new kind.
