Sleep is my drug
All I want to do is sleep
All I ever am is tired
Tired of the things I reap
Never to be at all inspired.
But my bed is so kind to me
It takes me as I am
Even if I may be dirty
It lends to me a helping hand.
And as I lay, I think
I fantasize for a moment
My troubles soon begin to shrink
In my bed I'm not so broken.
As I sleep I can
Pretend so hard
That I'm a different man
With someone there for me guard.
Sleep makes me feel
Like what I want is right there
Laying beside me.
She doesn't speak
She doesn't have a name
But I can kiss her cheek
And love her just the same.
She loves me too
She wants to see me happy
She's the only one who
Can make me feel so happy.
Please don't take me from this place
I want to stay in her embrace
Let me pretend to feel loved
I need this feeling, to be loved.
But I wake up every day
I get a tear in my eye
As my love goes away
And then I feel I'd rather die
My will to live evaporates
I decide I'll go to sleep
Never to wake up again
I take a knife from up my sleeve
And hatch away my veins
So I can be with her again.
Forever.
