Love Poem: Since You Been Gone

Since You Been Gone

By the bank of a meandering stream
underneath the weeping willow tree,
Recall the endearing days of our dream
like the wily wind, whimsical and free.

Then the dark clouds rolled over our sky
In the pouring rains you got swept away,
The shrubs and the bushes knew not why
where and in whose arms you quietly lay.

Scouring the skies with the footloose moon,
Deep in the woods, across shimmering sea,
Oh, my forlorn heart vows to find you soon
lest falling prey to cruel time you forget me.

Waiting by the stream your name I often call
wailing underneath this weeping willow tree
all seasons, winter, spring, summer and fall,
From this dire fate do come and set me free.
