Love Poem: Signature In Blue

Signature In Blue

Signature in Blue
offended by midnight hue
Come calling calling swiftly near
only a true love left alone to hear

A fainter smell left hanging on
Chartruce vermillion clinging 'til dawn
A bedchamber slightly abused
denotes a love that went out refused

Twilight bells ringing still
a heart bottomed-out cannot refill
I heard this amid the crowd
of stars dying down and crying loud

The message printed out in bold
a story never heard but always told
made love to an ocean blue
thinking the cold expanse had been you

To memory to darkness to death
a love faded out without sigh or breath
To all the dreams laid to waste in time
a simple story laid down in rhyme
