Love Poem: Sight

Sight

I saw you today,
deep in the quiet grove
the technicolor candle light of alteration
melting between the leaves like sugar
the way your face looked in the glow of aging.

I closed my eyes,
basking in remaining sounds of your voice
my hands, instinctively cupped to my face
wanting nothing more then to catch you
before it scatters away.
