Show Me

Show me, Lord, the way to become…
The woman You intended, the woman who is loved,
By a Holy Father, One who is made of true love,
Light who abides inside those who believe His word.

Show me, Lord, the way to believe…
Your words bring me joy – Your words bring me peace.
While I feel all my sins falling beneath Your grace,
I know that, with You, my heart grows in humble faith.

Show me, Lord, the way to become…
The woman You brought to this world to experience love,
Quietly laughing, silent like the hope who knows,
Without Your wonderful, I’d be left wallowing in my hurt.

Show me, Lord, the way to believe…
Because I know You, I know the way to be truly free.
Without You beside me, my spirit would be incomplete.
Inside, I feel Your light shining softly, so my spirit sings.

Show me, Lord, the way to become…
The woman You created, the woman who is full of love.
When I gave You my heart, I gave you something soiled,
But thanks to Your love, my heart has been washed pure.

Show me, Lord, the way to believe…
With all my heart, You’re everything to me,
My light, my breathe, my hope and grace,
Thanks to You, I know the way to find peace.

Show me, Lord, the way to become…
The woman You wanted when You gave me Your spirit,
Sent me into the world with Your gospel message,
The point of life, for me, is Your way, Your acceptance.

Show me, Lord, the way to believe…
What it is that makes me the woman You needed,
When You sent Your Son to die and rise again,
So that You could save me from everlasting darkness.

Show me, Lord, the way to become…
Who it was Your heart expected when You gave me love,
Who it was Your spirit intended when You made my heart,
Who it was Your light reflected when You gave me hope.

Show me, Lord, the way to believe…
Beyond my heart’s expressions, beyond my doubts,
Allow me to see Your amazing promises…
Promises that wherever You lead, I will follow…

Because You know me, Lord, and You know my soul –
Without Your love, Your blessings…
I’d never know what it means to love from my heart,
To love with a love that only You could have stirred,
A love that only You, my Lord, could have spoken into life,
Love beyond all reason – love that survives throughout all time!
