She is lavender Daughter African God's daughter radiant true She's lavender fairer than Blue The Sun shines it's you on her she's true devoted to only one Jesus has seen in her heart And He has impart A beloved who has gone down to his garden to the bed of spices to feed in the garden And to gather his gain feet uncovered moist and wet Covered by the rain Oh, daughter of Jerusalem If you find yourself waiting Don't be disenchanted Don't be not encouraged For God has you abating there is sunshine above you The kiss of God is upon you And you know you're His He surrounds you with the best of things With the best of things You are the dove that flies In the cotton The breeze is sweet It touches your feet Your a rose without thorns you're God's Daughter what I song your lavender You're pure than gold And when the love of God gathers you She is God's daughter She's Lavender
