America had declared war on communism and poverty.

By 1972, I had struck gold and discovered a diamond.
Indeed, having uncovered a pearl of great price, I
was willing to forsake all others for that one girl.
Her soft and caring voice sang right into the core of
my heart, and her beautiful smile took my breath away.
It was two years, but before we knew it, we were saying, "I do".
