She Was
She was the picture of peace for my spirit
That picture that said “it’s ok” when I saw it
She was of a good nature mellow down to earth
So worthy that everyday was joyful because of her being my perk
She was my illusion that God is walking on earth
The thought of being with her was of a protection from ones guardian
In her eyes was the comfort my heart seek
And with her ears that she would always listen when I speak
Her lips was for utter, utter words of with mellow voice and
Slay the dragon in me with a gentle touch of greetings
She was not of material but of life’s blessings
And with her I was rich with no pressure to fulfill the unwanted
She was what I have always dreamt of
Filling excitement like a miner
From 9 to 5 after hard work of torturous terrain
Coming back home was like a vacation that was worth the wait
Knowing that I will be healed from the pain
The pain instilled by the day strains
With her I knew that life will never be the same
For it was when she accepted me it was a life time gain
But none the less all is but a fading picture
Fading from one drop of my tear that she was
Everything is now a tattoo on my heart
A constant reminder that she was and will never be is
Days and nights have broken with sweat just for retention
But instead it was the fading picture that was becoming clear
Clear that she will stay was and no chance or option for is again
