Love Poem: SHE IS IT

SHE IS IT

Low on the horizon she appeared
A silhouette of pulchritude
Her face begged to be loved
Her dress addressed her needs

She was shy but attentive
Her green eyes teared a little
Her mouth puckered
And her scarf glistened

She was inseparable with that scarf
It framed her lovely façade
So that you wanted to hug her for a long time
Her pink lips blossomed

To kiss her was waking on a mountain top on a hot summer morn
Her breath like a sprig of mint on a dry day
She felt fresh as an apple daiquiri
I gorged on those fresh lip massages

To say that I loved her is to say
I knew every inch of her
I worshiped the moments we shared
My heart misses her every time she goes away

I relish every bit of time she shares with me
Never will there be another like her
I was given the only woman that came down heaven’s path
To light my life and share her soul

A match made in heaven this I know
Our many years together made me adore her
Our life was arduous and rocky at times
But we weathered the storms and wavy seas

Yesterday’s memories are long and varied
But he good times becoming more vivid now
Bad times slowly recede into forgotten pinches in time
Pinches felt with no deep scars, healed only by the salve of love.
