Love Poem: She Already Was

She Already Was

She Already Was

She was good looking and so properly dresses
And had confessed how much I was impressed
With such a fine face and figure to go along
All things in right place and nothing was wrong.

Into her property all seemed to positively fit
Take my eyes off of her could not start to quit
Both of them on her had become completely glued
What I saw was beauty in everything I viewed.

Writing pretty poem about here had just started
And soon my fingers were tired and also smarted
My mind, right words was trying to retrieve
God said beware of news you are about to receive.

I stammered and over her had incessantly clamored
Being so in love with her and totally enamored
Then there was a terrible thing that tore me apart
Since a child, she had been someone else's sweetheart.

PS. Wonder what Alice in Wonderland will think of this one?
