Love Poem: She

She

What I might say might take your breath away
A story of a little girl that didn’t know what to say.
Confused because she was abused, she just wanted to be excused.
Excused from life, always looking for the sharpest knife.
Her dad loved the drugs, not his daughters hugs.
She tried so desperately, and all she did was create an enemy.
Bruises on bruises, and she still refuses.
Over flowing with emotions and she still stays unspoken.
She met a boy and thought he was different, 8 months later she saw he was distant.
Gave herself to the devil now people call her a rebel.
Scars on her arm yet she tells people not to self harm,
Most people fear death but she’s counting down to when she can take her last breath
Trying to pick up the pieces but they’re all stuck in the creases
She didn't just lose one love, she lost two.
She lost love for herself and doesn't have a clue.
Wondering where she went, trying to fix this dent.
She’ll never see her beauty, But I’ll make it my duty.
And it makes me sick that depression took away her soul, the only thing that makes her whole.
