Love Poem: Shattered Dreams

Shattered Dreams

A shattered dream
Or so it would seem
Vanity of a skill
Some would call supreme
Crashing, crashing
Falling all around me everywhere
Everything reminds me of my dream
Painful memories of opportunities
That were missed
Exclamated accomplishments
Always get dissed
What?
Does it not catch your interest?
It will catch your interest
When others start to invest
In me
I believed it was my destiny
To be a poetic child
Origins from the wild
And all the while
I’ve been beguiled
And beseeched
My high mounted goal
Can no longer be reached
My success was brief
Now how will I pay for college?
I had it easy
When all I had to do was kick knowledge
Now I am no longer frolic
Not even rock solid
Because of a dream buster
Lack of support
From the most essential source
So I am forced
To resort
In other people and areas
No support from my carrier
Shattered dreams I said
Shattered dreams I said
Promising dreams now dead
And shattered dreams I said
Are now shattered at the seams I said
Or so it would seem I said
Vanity of a skill
Some would call supreme
A skill no longer exists
Because of a shattered dream.
